About Golden Oriole

First of all, people often ask us about the name. A golden oriole is a very pretty bird that you can occassionally see in Britain. It also has a beautiful song. In flight (and they are difficult to spot as they stick to wooded areas and stay high in the branches) it can be mistaken for a flying banana.

Golden Oriole was established in 2001. We are a small organisation on a mission to bring some excitement into the workplace.

Our team includes management consultants, trainers, musicians and sound recording engineers, the perfect combination for helping our participants get all they are looking for from our events. We are lead by Phil Hunt, a former senior manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers, a training and HR expert and a musician. That's Phil on the left.

We are based in Cambridgeshire, but travel anywhere - we load our studio and equipment into a van and set up at a place near you.

We are an extremely friendly and approachable bunch and do our best to make sure you enjoy and benefit from the experience that we take you through. Why do we do it? We have a passion for making and recording music. We love helping others to surpass their expectations. And we get a warm fuzzy feeling when we see teams working well together.

Even if you are no musician, you can still be part of recording a memorable snap shot of your history.

"Who seeks the way to win renown,

Or flies with wings of high desire,

Who seeks to wear the laurel crown,

Or hath the mind that would aspire,

Let him his native soil eschew,

Let him go range and seek a new"

Sir Richard Grenville
